Transient Non-filling Phenomena of Anterior Cerebral Artery Following Head Injury
Abstract
Transient non-filling phenomena of the anterior cerebral artery with contrast material during cerebral angiography has been demonstrated in two patients with head injury.
These non-filling phenomena were certified at the first cerebral angiography performed within 1-3 days after the head injury, but were not observed on the next angiography performed 10 -14 days thereafter.
As causes of these phenomena, the vascular alteration and compression of the some vascular segment due to increased intracranial pressure are presumed.
